What to write

What the card should say.

  • Bismillah, and a verse or hadith with its reference if you use one.
  • The couple's names with their fathers' names.
  • The prayer the Nikkah follows and an approximate clock time.
  • The masjid or venue with a map button.

تقریبِ نکاح — اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل و کرم سے ہمارے صاحبزادے [دولہا کا نام] کا نکاح [دلہن کا نام] بنت [والد کا نام] کے ساتھ ان شاء اللہ [تاریخ] بعد نمازِ [عصر/مغرب] [مقام] میں ہوگا۔ آپ سے شرکت اور دعا کی درخواست ہے۔

Allah ke fazl se hamare betay [naam] ka Nikkah [naam] binte [walid ka naam] ke saath In sha Allah [date] ko baad namaz-e-[Asr/Maghrib] [jagah] mein hoga. Aap se shirkat aur dua ki darkhwast hai.

Can I add a Quranic verse to the card?

Yes. Type it in the opening line with its reference. Ask someone to check the Arabic before sending; you can correct it any time and every link updates.

The Nikkah time depends on the prayer. What if it changes?

Update the time in your panel and every guest sees the new one. Nothing needs to be re-sent.

Can some guests see the Nikkah but not the dinner?

Yes. Give them a private link with only the Nikkah ticked.

Is there music on a Nikkah card?

Only if you add it. Most families leave it silent, or choose a soft nasheed.
